I love this time of year. The weather gets cooler, the leaves change colors, the smell of wood burning. There really is nothing like it. I picked apples off my tree yesterday and made fresh apple crisp. Honestly, does apple crisp tastes any better than in the fall? I think not. We had rain for three straight days this weekend so I was completely unable to get my Halloween decorations up outside but when I do, you will all get pictures.
In the meantime, we celebrated with Grant, Angela, Victoria and Grants brother Tim, and went up to Gardners Village to WITCH-A-PALOOZA...you really have to experience it to get the full effect. It has become a tradition for us to go the first week of October. They have carriage rides with witches, pumpkins everywhere you look, witches, ghosts, you name it and they have it. We always end the evening by having dinner there at Archibalds and eat their famous fried green tomatoes. Angela and I have been trying to figure out the sauce forever and we finally bribed the waitress tonight to tell us...guess what I am going to make this weekend? YUM
Grant, Angela and Tori
Tori isn't so sure about the big rat
For those of you who don't know Grant, Angela and Tori, they are my son-in-law, step daughter, (doesn't seem that way) and grandaughter. Love them all to death. We really have a great time together.

Looks like fun; wish we could have been there too.
That's awesome! I love halloween even more now just because I have my very own tombstone!! : ) (seriously you have no idea how excited I am!)
Love that you have a blog! Did you ever accept the invite to mine? I don't think you did. Email me SalazarMay3@aol.com and I'll send you another one. I just read your last post and I can't believe how old everyone is getting! That Kylie is 19! Crazy. It'll be good to keep up with you guys now though. This witchapalooza thing sounds like so much fun!
You two should come vist us in Sacramento, there is a big train museum in Old Sacramento. Not only is the museum a fun, but Old Sac is a lot of fun. In August they re-enact Gold Rush Days, but all the area is just neat with lots of neat shops.
